Greenwaste Day June 13th
Location: Dumpsters will be available in the Squaw Valley PSD building parking lot.
What you can bring: Restricted to natural loose yard waste material and must not contain any bagged items (remove bags before dumping). The dumpsters also accommodate larger woody material such as limbs and branches in addition to pine needles, pine cones, brush and garden waste.
While you are there: Please log your time and any $$ spent at the Olympic Valley Firewise table which will be near the dumpsters. And please, before or after Greenwaste Day, log any additional fire reduction efforts at the following web link:
Why log your time and $$? Over the last 6 months a volunteer group of residents was successful in getting Olympic Valley recognized as a Firewise Community. This certification opens the Valley up for various wildfire prevention grants and possible lower homeowner insurance policies.
And every year, in order to keep our certification, we must submit an accounting to Firewise USA of the hours and/or dollars spent in this effort.
So please help out our community.
